Penn State Harrisburg, School of Science, Engineering, and Technology invites applications for two full-time non-tenure track faculty positions in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology, effective August 2019. A Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering or a closely-related engineering discipline and relevant experience is required. Candidates with expertise in the areas of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, solid mechanics, machine design, dynamics, manufacturing processes, and fundamentals of mechanical engineering will be considered. All full-time faculty are expected to engage in research and scholarly activities, participate in University/College and professional service, assist with ABET accreditation processes, and advise students. These positions are one-year appointments with an excellent opportunity for renewal based on performance. Successful applicants must be prepared to contribute through teaching in both ME and MET undergraduate programs, with the ability to contribute to our graduate engineering programs being highly desirable. Teaching and/or industry experience in one or more areas listed above is preferred. Information about the College can be found at http://harrisburg.psu.edu/sset/. The College offers ABET-accredited BS degree programs in CE, EE, EET, ME, MET, and SDCET, in addition to a MS ME degree and other graduate programs.
