Campus Information: Penn State is a multi-campus public land-grant university that improves the lives of the people of Pennsylvania, the nation, and the world. Our instructional mission includes undergraduate, graduate, and continuing and distance education informed by scholarship and research. Our research, scholarship, and creative activities promote human and economic development through the expansion of knowledge and its applications in the natural and applied sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, and the professions. Penn State Wilkes-Barre is one of more than 20 Penn State campuses statewide. It is a student-centered campus of approximately 500 students; about 20% are adult learners. The coursework for the first two years of more than 160 Penn State baccalaureate majors is offered, as well as nine baccalaureate degrees (Administration of Justice, Business, Corporate Communications, Electrical Engineering Technology, English, Information Science and Technology, Project Supply Chain Management, Rehabilitation & Human Services, and Surveying Engineering) and four associate degrees (Business Administration; Information Science and Technology; Letters, Arts & Sciences; and Surveying Engineering Technology). Students and faculty at Penn State Wilkes-Barre have all of the resources of a major research university at their disposal, but in a small college atmosphere. Class sizes are small and the student/faculty ratio is low, so students can receive much individual attention. Our faculty members are committed to providing a high-quality educational experience to their students and are actively engaged in scholarship. Our students receive an excellent education delivered in a small campus setting. For more information about the campus, visit http://wb.psu.edu. For any questions about this position, please contact Dr. Lynda Goldstein, Associate Chief Academic Officer, Penn State Wilkes-Barre at lrg4@psu.edu.
