The Department of Sociology and Criminology at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus, invites applications for a tenure-line position in the Sociology department to begin August, 2019. This is an open-rank position. We seek an outstanding scholar with substantive interests in sex and gender and/or family sociology who will contribute to the excellence and diversity of the department. Senior candidates should have an outstanding publication record, a commitment to securing external funding, and a track record of excellence in teaching and mentoring students. Junior candidates should show significant research and teaching promise and must complete their Ph.D. by the time of appointment.
