Penn State Harrisburg, School of Public Affairs (SPA), invites applications for a tenure-track position in health administration at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, effective August 2019. The successful candidate will teach in the Master of Health Administration (HADM) and the Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration (HPA) programs, as well as be appointed program head for health administration. Applicants should have an earned doctorate in health administration or a related field and must provide evidence of a successful and impactful research agenda. Those who hold a J.D. only will not be considered for this position. While the area of specialization is open, the successful candidate must be able to teach healthcare management, population health, health systems organization, healthcare insurance, and healthcare ethics. Residential as well as online teaching experience and interdisciplinary collaboration are expected. All candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching and to ability and willingness to engage in service appropriate to their rank, including recruitment of students and part-time instructors, and must qualify for membership in the Graduate Faculty of The Pennsylvania State University: http://www.gradschool.psu.edu/faculty-and-staff/faculty/criteria. The SPA offers additional undergraduate programs in Political Science, Public Policy, and Criminal Justice and additional master`s programs in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, as well as a Ph.D. in Public Administration.
