Description

The Penn State Smeal College of Business seeks a specialist to support the communication needs of one of the largest business schools in the nation. The specialist will contribute to the development, execution, and measurement of compelling enrollment marketing tactics designed to attract and nurture prospective professional graduate students and executive education partners. Primary responsibilities of the role include support of tactical marketing planning efforts; extensive contributions to the conceptualization, development, and production of marketing communications deliverables across multiple areas including advertising, promotional collateral, web presence, social media, direct email marketing, and news content; media relations support; and contributions to the measurement of marketing tactics and results reporting to leadership. The position entails direct marketing campaign development and execution via the college’s marketing automation platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud; campaign integration with the college’s Salesforce CRM; and social media content planning and development. In this highly collaborative position, the specialist will work across the college with program administrators and staff, marketing and IT staff, faculty, students, and external marketing partners. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will be a strong visual communicator, able to effectively convey information, not only via compelling copy, but also through the deployment of imagery, video, and graphics. The role demands someone who is inquisitive, creative, analytical, and eager to balance multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously while serving as a partner and marketing resource to numerous stakeholders. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
