Description

The Parents Program is seeking to hire an undergraduate student to work in the office and support special events from May – November. The student will interact closely with staff to provide customer service, develop and support programs and events, and gain a variety of office skills. This position will also provide opportunities for volunteer management, social media management, and program planning and implementation. Responsibilities include: welcome parents and families at the NSO Resource Fair, serve as a resource to assist with answering questions; welcome families at Spend A Summer Day, a prospective student event; support the office in planning arrival events and Parents and Families Weekend; respond to parent and family questions via email and phone; create Facebook and Twitter posts based on events, research, and annual trends; prepare materials for events and meetings. Penn State Parents Programs serves as a resource for all families of Penn State University Park undergraduate students.
