Penn State PRO Wellness and The Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute are seeking applicants for a Community Engagement Coordinator. This individual will cultivate and manage relationships between various community partner organizations and the Penn State College of Medicine research community. In addition, he/she will collaborate with the Penn State University Park Coordinator as well as investigators. The Community Engagement Coordinator must be self-motivated and will be responsible for managing daily program operations, including planning, facilitating, and following up on meetings and community training sessions, tracking resources, budgets, and relationships, and implementing and updating study plans and supporting program documentation. The ideal candidate must excel at managing multiple programs and competing priorities and will work collaboratively to effectively engage, organize, support, and provide follow-up to the program steering committee and other sub-committees. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for serving as a liaison with internal departments and external community partners. Additionally, he or she will participate in the development of written engagement materials and scientific papers for publication. Possible other duties include planning and implementing reporting and evaluation strategies. Some travel is required for meeting with community partners and scientific presentations about program results. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
