Description

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is seeking an IT Support Specialist to work in a fast paced environment with a variety of customers. This position reports to the EPMO business operations manager and is primarily responsible for end-user support for the LionPATH and WorkLion teams. In addition this position will support staff for the upcoming SIMBA project. Typical day-to-day activities of this position include, but are not limited to: diagnosing and resolving problems with desktops, applications, and peripherals (such as printers, copiers, projectors, AV equipment, and hand-held devices) in response to customer reported issues; documenting issues and solutions through ticketing system; maintaining inventory for hardware, software, network addresses, and ports; and documenting processes and procedures; configure, administer, and support desktop management functions. Candidates should have a working knowledge of most of these areas: system builds, active directory, SUS, software distribution, and Identity Finder scanning. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will value superior customer service, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, work effectively as an individual contributor and team member, demonstrate the ability to embrace changing technologies and priorities, and handle multiple tasks at once. Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and experience with supporting, planning, and deploying equipment in a fast paced environment are required. The candidate should have a strong understanding of Windows and OS X operating systems, have experience troubleshooting a wide-range of desktop support issues at the operating system and application levels, as well as peripherals. An understanding of TCP/IP and network configuration troubleshooting are also required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
