The College of Nursing has an opening for a detailed orientated and self-motivated individual who will excel as a leader and team member working in a collaborative environment as a Data Analyst. The successful candidate will lead the college in all aspects of collecting, analyzing and reporting to internal stakeholders and external organizations. S/he will retrieve and analyze data from various data sources to meet reporting needs for The College of Nursing. S/he will use data to coordinate and track progress on key organizational performance indicators and to assist stakeholders in making decisions related to strategic planning. S/he will serve as the chief adviser to the college’s Assessment Committee to accurately report metrics to ensure data integrity, accuracy and consistency. The data will be used by the Dean and the Assessment Committee to determine the college’s successes and needs. S/he will also provide critical data necessary for accreditation by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Other external reporting including the U.S. News and World Report magazine’s annual report of “Best Colleges” among others. S/he will prepare standard and ad hoc reports, compare consistency of data against other data sources, apply stringent QA processes to ensure accuracy, and identify/recommend process changes to ensure data integrity. The successful candidate will assist with the creation, distribution, and analysis of online surveys, perform quality assurance checks, and grant access to survey reports through the Qualtrics survey system. S/he will maintain a schedule of customized and recurring surveys and collaborate with the Assessment Committee. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requirements include experience querying database servers using Microsoft Access or an equivalent software, creating and distributing surveys with an online survey software, and proficiency in Excel for manipulating and displaying data, including the use of pivot tables and charts. Experience with data visualization tools is also preferred but not required.
