This position is a member of the project team, and is responsible for the design, configuration, development, and ongoing support of the S/4HANA suite being implemented in the enterprise System for Integrated Management, Budgeting, and Accounting (SIMBA) project. This position will have direct oversight of the technology group in support of the planning, execution, and post production support of the product. After the project has come to a close, the position continues to support the ERP in the post-production model. Provides leadership and direction to the technology team while coordinating and delegating work packages to the technology team leads to ensure effective management of all project tasks. This person will work with the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Office of Information Security, and Service Management organizations to develop and maintain appropriate policies and procedures for application security, system development, system administration and support, in conjunction with technology team leads. The candidate will liaise with key stakeholders throughout Penn State’s IT community (ITS, Campuses, and Colleges), providing guidance and expertise related to maintenance, upgrades and enhancements of Campus Solutions. They also will collaborate with functional teams to develop appropriate and effective technology solutions and participate in setting strategic direction for the post production support of SIMBA. In collaboration with peer directors, he or she will ensure consistency of security protocols, data exchange procedures, and access policies within their purview. They will be responsible to develop and execute Service Level Agreements with other units. Requirements include prior management experience with a proven track record of leading diverse and highly skilled teams; excellent verbal and written (English) communications skills; demonstrated understanding of SAP S/4HANA; SAP Business Warehouse on HANA; creation and optimization of HANA views and BW models; SAP Bex Web Application Designer; ABAP and ABAP OO development; SAP Data Services; SAP Business Objects - Explorer; WebDynpro; BSP; CRM Middleware; WebUI. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
