Penn State Abington is seeking a creative, innovative team player to join the campus and increase awareness and registration to the programs and classes offered by our Continuing Education division. This key role would work with the Director of Continuing Education and Marketing Office to help with the creation, management and execution of traditional marketing materials, digital marketing and social media campaigns. The responsibilities include but not limited to: Create and manage the production, execution and dissemination of traditional marketing and promotional materials including, flyers, email, direct mail, web content, video, photography, and other collateral in an effort to increase awareness of new and existing programs and services for Continuing Education. Outcomes to result in increased enrollment and revenue generation. Manage the content and execute daily posting on appropriate social channels. Work with University Relations to create social media strategy and roadmap to boost digital profile and increase visibility in the market. Execution of digital marketing initiatives including SEM, SEO, Adwords for search engine marketing and optimization efforts. Monitor google and web analytics reports to evaluate and improve digital campaigns. Present findings and recommendations to key stake holders in the department. Assist in tracking effectiveness of various marketing campaigns and running reports as needed. Coordinate with other departments on campus for special projects and events such as photo shoots and market research. Continually research current marketing and social media strategies to attract new target audiences and increase engagement. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Experience and proficiency with Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter preferred. Experience with AP style is preferred. Experience with HTML is a plus. Experience in higher education preferred. Strong writing skills are required; writing samples encouraged. Requires exceptional judgment, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Position reports to the Director of Continuing Education with dotted line to University Relations. Requires occasional evening weekend work and ability to drive a vehicle. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
