Description

WPSU-FM, an NPR affiliate station, offers a unique opportunity to advance the career development of juniors and seniors who aspire to be radio news professionals through a paid internship. The Radio News Intern will contribute to our local radio news programming by writing compelling and engaging news wraps (about 1 minute) and/or long-format (3 to 4 minute) feature stories. The Intern will come up with story ideas, set up and conduct interviews, and write and put together air-ready final products. Successful applicants will have taken at least one newswriting class and be an energetic self-starter who takes initiative. Familiarity with the NPR style of news reporting a plus. Fall semester - 10 hours/week for 14 weeks at $8.50/hour.
