Enterprise Service Management (ESM), a unit of Enterprise Information Technologies (EIT) is in search of candidates for the role of Enterprise Change Manager. The successful candidate will lead definition, alignment and execution of Penn state's Enterprise level Change processes. This person will partner with technical staff in leading change processes which support the business, balancing risk to the institution and driving operational excellence across Penn State. Key roles and responsibilities - the application of a structured methodology and leadership around change activities, training, leadership over the change advisory board, leadership over continuous improvement activities, definition, collection and reporting of KPI’s, coaching and consultation for partners across Penn State IT through the change process. All responsibilities will be conducted in a multi-organizational enterprise context, where process integration across units is imperative. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Key skills - a solid understanding of industry best practices around change management and an ability to adapt them to an organization’s needs, ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, ability to influence across the organization, written and verbal communication skills, analytical/problem solving skills, strong operational mindset and customer focus. The change manager may also provide direct support to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
