The College of Arts and Architecture's Office of Digital Learning is seeking an instructional designer. The person in this position will collaborate with faculty and our design team to design and develop courses for online and hybrid delivery, assist in the ongoing development and implementation of innovative learning initiatives, and support faculty to advance the innovative uses of emergent technologies. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of educational and learning design theories and emerging technologies, as well as be able to communicate advantages and disadvantages of various pedagogical techniques and principles to faculty. The person in this position must also be able to manage all aspects of assigned projects, maintain focus on high-quality deliverables, and evaluate and track shifting priorities and challenges. We are looking for someone who thinks strategically and creatively to work on diverse projects. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate for this position will have worked in diverse team environments, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a desire to explore and research how digital technologies can be used to transform education. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
