The Department of Political Science invites applications for a three-year, non-tenure track position as Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor in Political Science and Director for the Counterterrorism Option in the interdisciplinary Master of Professional Studies in Homeland Security (MPS-HLS) online degree program. The position entails teaching in residence and online classes in terrorism and security, including the design and teaching of Master’s level online coursework on terrorism and counterterrorism, as well as management of and advising within the Counterterrorism Option. Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in Political Science or in another discipline related to Terrorism and Homeland Security, though qualified applicants at the ABD level will also be considered. Professional experience in counterterrorism fields and/or on-line teaching experience is preferred.
