Conduct ad hoc research and information gathering for the Vice Dean, Ops Director and Financial Manager related to support requests or strategic initiatives (for example, compiling how peer institutions manage certain processes, etc.) Manage stakeholder meetings related to information gathering and projects related to the above. Assist the Office of the Vice Dean in designing and/or using data collection tools related to gathering and producing performance metrics for departments and teams within the OVDRGS portfolio. Manage data collection from these tools and produce analysis reports for the Vice Dean and Director of Operations for use in funding support decisions, financial forecasting, facilities/renovations decisions, acquisition of high performance research equipment, and overall strategic planning. Gather information related to analysis of existing or future policies and procedures; compile and collate and/or make recommendations on policy and procedure planning or changes to Vice Dean, Ops Director and Financial Manager. Provide training on using data tools to staff on teams and departments within the OVDRGS portfolio when and as needed, including training them on how to pull from source data systems (SIMs, RedCap, etc.) and conducting analysis. Assist with design, distribution and collection of surveys related to customer feedback for a variety of services within the OVDRGS portfolio: Research Core Facilities, Clinical Trials, Human Subjects Protection Office, etc.; conduct analysis related to survey results and format information for review by the Vice Dean, Ops Director and Financial Manager. Provide support and guidance in interpreting and utilizing the data and reports generated, determining the impact on proposed programs and developing viable alternatives and strategies. Project-manage and complete ad hoc stand-alone requests from the OVDRGS as needed. Examples of these types of projects might include liaising among Development, Grad Ed and the OVDRGS to organize Grad Ed alumni relations events. Coordinate and produce, both for the OVDRGS and key stakeholder departments, data analysis reports and trend analysis for decision-making support and produce a variety of standard and ad hoc analyses and reports from various databases for internal and external use. Provide project planning and project management support for OVDRGS and key stakeholder teams within the OVDRGS portfolio and/or take on other special projects as assigned (HSPO, ORA, Research Development, etc.) Help these same teams develop customized analytical modeling tools and direct the data analysis work of staff within those teams on behalf of the Vice Dean and/or department heads. Attend and represent the OVDRGS at a variety of meetings as needed to share updates, convey OVDRGS policies or perspectives, facilitate project management support, or provide special projects execution. Provide operational support for the Physician Scientist Training Program, such as facilitating task force meetings and project managing PSTP-related initiatives. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional years of experience preferred.
