The Communications Specialist is a member of the WorkLion Management Office (WMO), responsible for ongoing support and development of the Workday Human Capital Management and Payroll system including business process analysis, functional design, testing, training, communication, documentation, implementation and support. The Communications Specialist is responsible for ongoing support and development of Workday communications materials. Requires strong writing skills in order to create informative and timely content and manage information dissemination via traditional and new media, including project websites, blogs, social media, articles, press releases, email listservs, as well as campus-wide communications campaigns. Communication is directed toward a variety of audiences including sponsors, executive stakeholders, staff, faculty and students. The positon will coordinate, prepare and execute communications efforts related to the Workday system and related process changes, and requires active collaboration with the rest of the WMO team. The Communications Specialist will be expected to proactively provide input to improve the communications strategy that will ensure effective and efficient communications based on audience/objectives, measure effectiveness of communication to identify improvement opportunities. The position will assist in the rapid and thorough resolution of tickets in Service Now, and analyze Workday update documents for communication impact. This position is a self-starter who can work independently with little supervision, but also as part of a team. Exceptional writing skills and creative outlook with strong attention to detail, editing and tone are preferred.
