Penn State Law's Office of Admissions in University Park is seeking a professional to fill the role of Administrative Support Coordinator (Admissions Coordinator). The Admissions Coordinator will serve as the primary contact and coordinator for visits of prospective and admitted students and will be responsible for coordinating and supporting recruitment and data management functions of the admissions office. This position is an excellent first step for any professionals interested in a career in admissions. The Admissions Coordinator should demonstrate attention to detail, enthusiasm, helpfulness, and confidence in their interpersonal skill set. Responsibilities include: arranging all tours and visits to the law school; coordinating all on and off campus recruitment events including admitted student day and preview day; greet visitors; coordinating registration and materials shipping to over 100 recruitment events nationwide; receive, verify, and validate applicant data and application maintenance; preparing and mailing acceptance packets; managing applicant files for the faculty admissions committee; entering data into and utilizing client relationship management software to communicate with prospects and applicants; finalizing and assigning applications for review; maintaining lists of and communicating with various program participants; maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings; maintaining and ordering recruitment materials; maintaining the order of the admissions suite; completing and submitting travel reimbursement and expense reports; responding to general admissions inquiries by phone and email; performing tasks in Workday; delegating to and overseeing work of work-study students; and performing other duties as needed. Infrequent weekend or evenings are required and will be compensated with comp time or overtime as appropriate. We also seek candidates demonstrating strong emotional intelligence, a team-oriented philosophy, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, collegial office. Recent Penn State graduates with an interest in careers in admissions or higher education are encouraged to apply. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a valid U.S. driver’s license are required. A demonstrated familiarity with social media platforms, CRM software, and complex databases is strongly preferred. The position will remain open until filled. It is anticipated that application review will begin February 26, 2018. Preferred time frame for start date is late March 2018. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
