Description

The Department of Statistics is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant to perform various student-related and administrative duties. Responsibilities will include: Serving as first point of contact for the undergraduate advising and Statistical Consulting Center office; answering phones and assisting students and faculty with various questions; maintaining graduation lists for undergraduates, running degree audit reports to check for accuracy and verify completeness, and working with advisers and undergraduate program director to make necessary adjustments; processing various forms for faculty and students such as add/drop forms, course substitution, administrative course cancellation, etc.; administering SRTEs for time-sensitive completion; updating and managing various listservs for undergraduate and graduate students and staff; assigning advisers to students in LionPATH and maintaining adviser assignment document; working with undergraduate director to submit course substitutions in CSRS system for review by the dean; and processing various wage payroll appointments for the department. Various other duties include maintaining department mailboxes, filing documents as needed, ordering and maintaining supplies for the department, assisting with various department events, and managing departmental conference room calendars. Experience with LionPATH, CollegeNet and Excel is strongly preferred. The ability to work independently and with students is required. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
