The Lifelong Learning and Adult Education Program at Penn State University—Harrisburg invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Lifelong Learning and Adult Education position. This position will begin in Fall 2018. Qualifications: earned doctorate by August 1, 2018, in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education or very closely related field. Evidence of being successful at research and publication. Evidence of the ability to succeed at graduate level teaching in multiple delivery formats in the digital age. Strong background in the field of lifelong learning and adult education with an identifiable focus in one or more of the following areas: teaching and learning in the digital age; health professions education/medical education; quantitative or mixed methods research methodology. Primary Responsibilities: to teach primarily introductory and advanced graduate level courses in lifelong learning and adult education, and in an identifiable focus area. To chair and serve on dissertation committees, and some master’s committees. To engage in research and publication. To engage in university service.
