The Learning and Performance Systems Department is looking for a part-time Web Software Prototype Developer. We are looking for a motivated student to participate on a research team that is developing prototype software apps to support teaching and learning. We are designing software tools to help teachers monitor children’s literacy-development and has a specific focus around children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The project recently received funding from the US Department of Education. The successful applicant will have experience with video editing and production and should enjoy working with a diverse team of web designers and developers. We are hoping to hire a person with an interest in various forms of Social Media who will be able to develop a plan to help teachers to interact/collaborate while using the software suite. Interns will be expected to work 10-15 hours per week and will be paid $15/hour. There is an opportunity for on-going employment through the summer for those interested in doing so, although this is not a requirement for the position. The positions will start immediately and continue (at least) through the 2018-19 academic year.
