Staff Engagement and Education Intern for April 2018 to May 2019 Penn State’s Sustainability Institute is looking to hire a Penn State student intern who will work from April 2018 to May 2019, assisting with the Institute’s engagement and education initiatives. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate proficiency in writing, editing, and creating educational materials. Duties may include, but are not limited to: writing stories for the AIR newsletter, planning content for the newsletter, creating educational materials for our engagement programs, planning events, tracking metrics, and working with our team the Green Paws and Green Teams Programs and support our other initiatives. The successful candidate will: Be a team player, with a GPA above 3.0, and superb written, interpersonal and oral communication skills. Must be a quick learner, able to manage and organize multiple sources of information, meet deadlines and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. The applicant should have an ability to synthesize multiple sources of information into reports summarizing outcomes and benefits. An interest in and knowledge about sustainability issues and concepts is mandatory. This paid internship will be for up to 40 hours per week during the summer and up to 15 hours weekly during the academic year. Our offices are in the Land and Water Research Building near the outdoor track.
