The Division of Science and Engineering, Penn State Abington seeks to fill two non-tenure-track Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor positions; one in Information Science and Technology (IST), and the other in either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (CS/EE). The successful candidate for the IST position must have a Master`s degree or higher in IST or a closely related field. S/he will be expected to teach undergraduate IST majors as well as other science and engineering majors; advise IST majors; and be involved in service activities to the program, division, and university. The successful candidate for the CS/EE position will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in either CS (e.g., programming languages, operating systems, databases) or EE (e.g., circuits and devices, electronic circuit design); advise undergraduate engineering majors; and be involved in service activities to the program, division, and university. Candidates with industry experience or demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level will be given preference. The review processes will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled. The desired start date is August 2018.
