Teaching and Learning with Technology is looking for a macOS developer to help imagine and build software to enable new learning experiences. We specifically are looking for someone to continue to improve the software that powers Penn State’s One Button Studio Application. The job will include pursuing and developing innovative new features to increase the impact the One Button Studio can have on the student and faculty communities as well as keeping the software current to support the latest developments in the audio/video industry. In addition, the job will include development work on other projects as needed to help Teaching and Learning with Technology fulfill its mission of innovation in teaching and learning. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. An ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency with Mac OS development including Swift, AV Foundation, and OpenGL. Also, the ideal candidate will have an understanding of video technology, e.g. encoding, decoding, and chroma key compositing. We are looking for someone that will contribute to an energetic team environment, work independently without significant supervisory direction, and can integrate into and communicate with a team of developers, UX designers, project managers, and faculty while bringing a passion for technology and education.
