The Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness is looking for a highly skilled JavaScript developer to join our team. You’ll be working with fellow developers on a variety of tasks including driving new technologies, maintaining and growing existing systems, and thriving in a high-energy team environment to help meet the needs of professionals providing services to military families across the globe. The right individual will be self-driven, able to collaborate equally efficiently with developers, instructional designers, and researchers. You will go beyond coding by helping to shape the culture and best practices of the organization. Technical skills required: Professional experience with JavaScript; experience with JS-based frameworks (React, Node.js, Angular.js); experience writing high-performance, reusable code for UI components; experience with object-oriented programming, PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails; competence with revision control systems (Git). Professional skills required: Ability to work independently; Initiative, imagination, and common sense; problem solving and solution oriented; positive and proactive approach to challenges. The successful candidate will be able to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple complex tasks, and must be excited about the opportunity to work with professionals who assist the United States military in developing leading-edge programs. For the right candidate, and under the appropriate circumstances, the option for remote work is available for discussion. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional years of experience is highly preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
