Description

The Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS), and the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, of the Penn State College of Medicine are seeking applicants to fill a full-time, fixed-term Instructor that will have a two-fold mission: function as a faculty member in the Department of Public Health Sciences (60% effort); serve as the Coordinator of the Diversity Pipeline and Outreach Program, within the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (40% effort). These activities will have a positive impact on graduate education and medical education in the College of Medicine. The Instructor will serve as a teacher and administrator in the public health graduate programs offered by the Department of Public Health Sciences. As the Coordinator of the Diversity Pipeline and Outreach Program within the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the will provide diversity recruitment support for existing pipeline and outreach programs to increase the diversity of programs; target specific populations that are under-represented in medicine and health professions; coordinate post-program evaluations; provide required training to staff of existing and newly established pipeline/outreach programs to effectively address the cultural needs of diverse participants; and implement outreach programs to increase the diversity of residents.
