This position will identify funding opportunities to support faculty research and equipment needs. Facilitate interactions between faculty researchers and prospective partners and funding sources. Coordinate with the Office of Research and Outreach and assist with preparation and submission of Grant Proposals. Assist PI/co PI with pre-award and post-award grant needs. Schedule, coordinate and conduct training sessions, seminars and workshops for faculty and staff. Strengthen relations with industry and develop new initiatives through a variety of activities such as sponsorship of research project, design competitions and career fairs. Negotiate with external organizations to establish mutually beneficial relationships. Coordinate the annual Capstone Design Conference and sponsored projects. Coordinate the annual SSET Career Fair in conjunction with the Career Services office. Provide leadership to school special projects including initiating, conducting, reporting and providing support and project management. Work with individuals, internal and external, to exchange information, solve problems, resolve conflicts, develop workflow processes and ensure efficient implementation of projects. Act as liaison with Office of Marketing Communications to promote School initiatives and accomplish marketing objectives. Perform data analysis and prepare reports. Participate in professional activities, including attending and presenting at meetings. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
