Description

The laboratory of Professor Mark Maroncelli in the department of Chemistry at The Pennsylvania State University seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position in computational physical chemistry. The position will involve classical molecular dynamics simulations of solute friction in ionic liquid solvents and semi-classical calculations of positron annihilation lifetime distributions in ionic liquids. Extensive expertise in liquid state theory and simulation methodology is required and experience with the LAMMPS program is preferred. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in computational statistical mechanics, or a related field. This is a fixed-term appointment for one year from the date of hire with the possibility of re-funding.
