Residential Dining at University Park is seeking a Penn State Food Services Manager Trainee. The Trainee position will provide an opportunity for application of knowledge acquired in the classroom while gaining meaningful professional experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism; strong customer service skills, excellent writing and communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Students should have completed their degree and be starting graduate studies or be ready to enter the workforce. The candidate must commit for an entire year. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in a hospitality, business or a nutrition related discipline or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Hospitality or Business related degree is preferred. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
