The Pennsylvania State University is seeking candidates for the position of Chancellor of Penn State York. The Chancellor serves as the chief executive officer and principal academic leader of the campus and is responsible for the quality of academic programs in teaching, research, and service; strategic planning; budgeting; philanthropy; faculty and staff development; outreach; and alumni relations. The position requires an individual who can lead a campus that is part of a twenty-four campus, student-centered, comprehensive research university. In addition to providing academic and administrative leadership to the York campus, the chancellor is a key administrator of the University and serves as a member of the Academic Leadership Council and Council of Campus Chancellors. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with an entrepreneurial outlook who is able to take charge of an effective and thriving campus, and is capable of providing leadership for higher education in the region. Demonstrated success in fundraising is essential. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Penn State York is a commuter campus of Penn State, the land-grant University of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania serving over 98,000 students. The campus is located on a scenic 51-acre site in York, Pennsylvania. Current enrollment is 1,000 of which 28 percent are adult students. There are 54 full-time and approximately 45 part-time faculty . Nine baccalaureate, eight minors, and five associate degrees are offered at the campus as well as a Master of Education in Teaching and Curriculum. Students may also complete the first two years of nearly all of Penn State`s 160+ baccalaureate degrees at the York campus and then move on to another Penn State campus to complete their studies.
