Description

The successful applicant for this position will work on a research project related to human skeletal variation. The duties for this position include quantifying trabecular bone structure using 3D microCT datasets, maintaining records related to the processing and analysis of bone specimens; coordinating with museums for the loan of skeletal material for analysis; and preparing summary reports of the ongoing project and research study data. This person will also aid in supervising undergraduate student volunteers in the processing and collection of research data. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher. This position requires excellent communication, time management, leadership, and organizational skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, image analysis software packages such as Avizo, ImageJ, and Medtool, and statistics packages such as R is necessary. Previous experience working with 3D data and bone biomechanics is expected. A background in anthropology and biology is strongly desired.
