The laboratory of Dr. Stephane Guerrier in the Department of Statistics at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, seeks to hire a postdoctoral researcher. This position involves developing and applying statistical and computational methods for various signal processing problems related to inertial and satellite navigation as well as to the study of the asymptotic and algorithmic properties of simulations based methods (e.g. indirect inference or iterative bootstrap). We seek an individual with strong mathematical and statistical backgrounds and who has expertise in at least one of the above mentioned topics as well as in advanced real analysis, computer and linear algebra (in particular Gröbner basis), representation and category theory. A Ph.D. in a quantitative field, e.g., statistics or mathematics as well as good written and oral communication skills are required.
