Description

The department of Alumni Career Services within The Smeal College of Business is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni Career Services to engage alumni from all degree programs by providing individualized coaching, corporate outreach, and industry networking to advance their careers. The core component of the role is one-to-one career coaching and alumni client support. Typical coaching duties include resume and cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile reviews, interview preparation, and professional networking guidance. Building engaging relationships with corporate recruiters, regional employers, and executive search firms for client career opportunities is expected. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in career coaching, alumni relations, employer relations, corporate recruitment, or talent acquisition services. Active knowledge of social media for digital marketing and resource development is desired. The successful candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal skills, a professional presence, and an engaging demeanor, coupled with strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships at multiple levels with internal and external constituents.
