Penn State Abington is looking for a peer specialist to serve in the Campus Registrar`s Office. Serving under the Academic Services Representative, the Registrar Peer Specialist will serve as the front-line assistant, serving students, staff, and faculty that enter the Registrar`s Office. The Peer Specialist will greet visitors, provide forms and contact information, and triage visitor issues to the correct office worker in order to ensure all needs satisfied. He/She will perform general office tasks, such as answering phones, maintaining office supplies, forms, and performing additional functions as delegated by the office staff, such as assistance with presentations or support graduation functions. Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and writing skills. Technical familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Browsers, LionPATH and Social Media. Strong desire to expand upon his/her own skill set. Customer service experience preferred. Must be a current student at Penn State Abington. Hours: The Peer Specialist will be required to work one of two possible shifts: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday. The Peer Specialist must notify the Academic Services Representative in advance of any issues that would hinder his/her ability to work these hours. Start Date: February 20, 2018.
