The College of Nursing at Penn State is seeking a PEEC Project Coordinator (Education Program Associate) who will work under the direction of and collaborates with the PEEC Project Director in the Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence (CGNE) to plan and develop the five components of the Program for Enhancing Excellence in Care project, including: older adult Care Community Education, Caregiver Skill Enhancement, Nursing Leadership Development, Registered Nurse Gerontology (Gero) Certificate program, and Coaching with stakeholders. This position collects, organizes, and reviews pilot community data, documents, and resources. Conducts research on best practice curricula and programming to assist with development. Participates in site visits and attends site-based programming, to assist with facilitation of components. Responsible for coordination and scheduling of education and training programs, including coordination of faculty presentation schedule; obtaining presentations titles, learning objectives, outlines, and content of lessons. Works with the PEEC Project Director, CGNE Team, and other educators to develop survey tools, pre and post activities, assessments, identification of resources, copyright/ permission for use, and revision of curricula when indicated. Helps to create and distribute communications, meeting agendas, resources, and marketing tools. Coordinates with the PEEC Administrative Support Assistant to develop announcements, prepare materials, document events, and file resources; and to prepare and submit CNE (Continuing Nurse Education) applications for Registered Nurses to Outreach Office for approval and processing. Coordinates scheduling of video recording and editing of education programs with IT services. Works with the Graduate Office, to provide support to RNs with registration and participation in the Gero certification program. Experience working in an older adult care environment, such as skilled nursing facility is preferred. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s preparation or higher preferred, with education and/or experience in curriculum/program development, implementing trainings, leadership, and identification of best practice exemplars. Some overnight travel will be expected, with expenses reimbursed per PSU policy. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding. This is a 75% full-time equivalency (FTE) job. Will work 30 hours per week. Full Penn State Benefits included.
