Student Affairs is seeking to hire seven staff for the newly-created Fraternity and Sorority Compliance Office. Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, the Coordinators will collaborate with one another and the Fraternity and Sorority Life staff to help build a model social fraternity and sorority community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring the social activities of fraternities and sororities, including participating in an on call schedule to spot check fraternities and sororities and respond to crises; working with individual chapters to aid in the development of risk management plans; training and educating the fraternity and sorority community about risk management and reduction; collaborating with the staff in Fraternity and Sorority Life to offer educational programs; and helping fraternities to develop relationships with neighborhood associations, long-term residents, and Borough of State College officials. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful candidates should have a proven record of collaborating with students, an understanding of risk management issues in the Greek community, and a record of successful collaboration involving multiple constituencies. Candidates must also demonstrate effective communication skills, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, the ability to resolve conflicts, and strong interpersonal skills. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. This is a one-year, fixed-term renewable appointment.
