Description

Student Affairs is seeking a leader for the newly-created Fraternity and Sorority Compliance Office. The Senior Coordinator will report to an Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs and work closely with the teams in Fraternity and Sorority Compliance and Fraternity and Sorority Life to build a model social fraternity and sorority community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising seven Fraternity and Sorority Compliance Coordinators; developing a system to monitor the social activities of fraternities and sororities, including an on call schedule for monitoring and spot checking fraternities and sororities, in which the Senior Coordinator will participate; working with individual chapters to aid in the development of risk management plans; training and educating the fraternity and sorority community about risk management and reduction; and helping fraternities to develop relationships with neighborhood associations, long-term residents, and Borough of State College officials. Successful candidates should have a proven record of collaborating with students, an understanding of risk management issues in the Greek community, experience supervising staff, and a record of successful collaboration involving multiple constituencies. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must also demonstrate effective communication skills, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, the ability to resolve conflicts, and strong interpersonal skills. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. This is a one-year, fixed-term renewable appointment.
