Description

The duties and responsibilities of the position would be to assist principal investigators or senior staff members in applied field research programs related to Penn State small grain and soybean variety evaluation programs. Duties would include operating specialized research equipment, assisting in planting, harvesting and data collection from research trials, assisting in processing of grain used for research purposes and collaborating with researchers to perform basic statistical analysis of experimental data. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference given to those with a degree in Agronomy or related field and field research experience with agronomic crops. This is a fixed-term appointment funded from March 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.
