As a member of the Financial Information Systems department, the IT Consultant will be the primary contact for faculty and staff University-wide in support of the University’s travel and expense management application known as the Employee Reimbursement System (ERS). Additionally, this position will be performing various administrative and security related tasks. The IT Consultant is expected to have a mastery of IT customer service and ERS responsibilities will include: planning and delivery of customer support services including user assistance, incident resolution, root cause analysis and user training; analysis of existing Cognos reports for updates or development of new reports based on new configuration; interpretation and communication of information, ideas and instructions clearly, accurately and persuasively both verbally and in writing including materials for distribution. Administrative and security responsibilities related to additional University-wide applications will include: providing first level IBIS support including data warehouse reporting and completing security access requests as needed. This role must be able to manage relationships with external vendors to enhance user experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility for re-funding.
