Operations Support (TLT Ops) within Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT), is seeking a highly specialized yet customer-friendly Information Technology Support Specialist to support the broad technology needs of TLT staff and their faculty projects and events. Responsibilities assigned to this position are very dynamic due to the exploratory nature of TLT’s mission, and include but are not limited to providing first and second level desktop support for staff, office, and faculty project hardware and software (equipment is primarily Mac OS-based with some Windows-based systems required for specialized projects); analyzing/diagnosing workstation and project technology issues; ability to work with vendors to resolve issues; fulfilling staff and project requests; designing and implementing device management; supporting technology needs during faculty conferences and events; and documenting processes and procedures. We are looking for a committed support professional who can demonstrate solid support skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to innovate and thrive in a culture of change. This position requires the candidate work independently as well as in teams and with users having diverse computer experience, and to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. It is highly desirable that the candidate has the ability and desire to learn new things quickly and adapt to changing technologies/priorities. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Use of client management and deployment systems (e.g., Big Fix, Casper, Service Now) is highly desirable. This position requires the candidate demonstrate the following knowledge and experience: use and administration of Mac OS X (primarily) and Windows 10 operating systems and imaging of such systems; analysis and diagnosis of computer system hardware and software issues; use and set up of conference room audio and video equipment; ensuring proper use of email, calendaring, and Office software as well as other common applications; and understanding of basic network infrastructure.
