Plastics Engineering Technology Faculty Position: Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position starting fall 2018. Qualified candidates will be considered for appointment at the rank of associate professor. Candidates should be committed to undergraduate education and participating in industry sponsored applied research. The position will be responsible for teaching courses in plastics mold rheology, mold design, and plastic part design. Prospective candidates should have a background with the topics described and ideally have experience with or a background in the plastics industry. Experience with plastics process simulation, plastics processing (such as injection, extrusion, or blow molding) and thermal analysis techniques are also desirable. A PhD in plastics, polymer, mechanical, materials, chemical engineering, or related field is required and a minimum of two years of industry experience is preferred.
