Responsibilities include: Act as Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) Help Desk and approver for all ERS travel reports; monitor purchasing card airfare charges and unused airfare; monitor the ARL leased fleet vehicles; coordinate reimbursements for recruitment and new employees; collect any monies owed and process necessary forms, make bank deposits; monitor and process conference registration payments; and manage filing systems to assure document retention procedures and guidelines are followed. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Experience with ARL, Penn State, and government travel policies are preferred. Experience with ERS system and IBIS forms (SRFC, IDCC, JV, etc.) are also preferred. A background in travel, accounting, and/or finance is required. You should be detail oriented, hold strong organizational skills, and possess strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. Due to the financial or fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will also be required in addition to standard background checks.
