Description

The Family and Child Health Project in the College of Health and Human Development is seeking applications for a part-time Project Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of our community nutrition education outreach projects, including: purchasing, sorting and delivering foods to multiple childcare centers within Centre and Clearfield counties assisting with the delivery of nutrition education with preschool and elementary school children, as well as data collection with children assisting with nutrition education outreach events with children and families maintaining project supplies and materials, as well as data collection in childcare centers. This is a part-time position with hours ranging between 20-30 hours per week (more consistently 20 hours during the academic year and 30 hours during the summer months). This position requires that you work with children and operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required, in addition to standard background checks and child abuse clearances (these must be completed before employment starts).
