The Outreach staff continues to work on the design of a new curb extension at Frankstown and Lincoln Avenues. As part of this development, a weather station has been installed as another monitoring tool. This includes the use of the national curriculum of the Water Environment Foundation. Depending on available work, a College of Ag Penn State student will be needed in green infrastructure with a background in landscape contracting, horticulture, plant science, soil science or a related field. Under the direction of Outreach staff, the summer student intern may work on installation, inspection, maintenance of bio-retention facilities as well as activities related to the green infrastructure instruction.
