Enrollment Services Specialist (Student Transfer Credit Specialist)

Our team is growing! Transfer Credit Specialists are primarily responsible for researching transfer courses taken at other institutions, recommending course substitutions to college partners, and working with college partners to determine how transfer credits apply to degree requirements. Transfer Credit Specialists are responsible for staying current with any academic changes to their assigned degrees. This position will also assist with the weekly new student list, create check sheets for students, assign academic advisers, and prepare electronic student folders. This job will be filled as a level 1, or level 2, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 1. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Competencies critical for success include: ability to build strong relationships with students and academic and campus partners; exceptional problem solving, analytical, and customer service skills; commitment to team; follow-through and attention to detail; comfort working in a large, rapidly changing organization; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and experience with MS Word, Excel, e-mail and Web technologies. We seek candidates who are able to demonstrate experience and ability to advance Outreach’s diversity initiative. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
