The College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) is looking for a dynamic candidate to lead recruitment efforts for prospective high school students to the college, with specific focus on underrepresented minorities and female students. This candidate will serve as the point person for all prospective student visits, events, information inquiries, and occasional recruitment related travel. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruitment event planning, evaluation, and follow up; management of a robust communication plan with College of IST prospects, applicants and accepted students; development/maintenance of recruitment marketing collateral, web content, and presentation materials; creation of a student transition plan in conjunction with Academic Advising office and New Student Orientation. The Assistant Director will maintain a working knowledge of curriculum as it pertains to recruiting and career outcomes, and will serve as a liaison to Academic Services units within the college. May include occasional overnight and/or weekend travel/events. Successful candidates will have: excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks; proficiency developing, planning, and evaluating the success of educational programs; aptitude presenting information to a wide range of audiences; demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and an awareness of the challenges underrepresented minorities and female students face in STEM fields. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
