The College of Agricultural Sciences, Penn State Extension - Franklin County seeks to hire a 4-H Summer Assistant/Intern. College student will plan, implement and evaluate 4-H events, fairs and projects with youth at after-school/out-of-school programs as well as various day camps and overnight camp. In addition, the Assistant/Intern will provide support at traditional 4-H events by recording registration, chaperoning, conducting workshops and other tasks as assigned. This job opportunity introduces the student to career opportunities with Penn State Extension. This is a 15-week position beginning in Mid-May and lasting until Mid-August dependent on the applicant. Applicant must be enrolled in a post-secondary program studying education, social sciences, agriculture or related field at time of application. Previous experience with the 4-H Youth Development Program is preferred. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver`s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
