Note: This is an off-campus job requiring work performed at all four Annex locations: 3110/3035 Research Drive, as well as the Academic Activities, and Scientific Storage buildings on campus Candidates must be able to provide their own transportation to/from the work location. (Work location is on the CATA K-Bus Route. Access Services seeks a detail oriented individual to assist in the general maintenance of circulating collections at the Library Annex locations. Duties include: Must be able to load and unload a van. Applicants must be prepared to perform multiple trips to retrieve Special Collections materials from the Cato Park I, Cato-2, and Scientific Stores annexes, transport and deliver Special Collections materials to the Pattee Library loading dock, pick up and deliver packages for the inactive Records Center, and pick up donated material on request. Other duties may include: filling book and article requests, process Circulation and Interlibrary Loan reports, update unit statistics, use Sirsi WorkFlows to perform updates including global item modifications and modify titles in catalog record, and prepare new items for storage. Pickup, delivery, sorting, shifting, and shelving of library materials between Annex locations and University Park locations will occur daily. May also help to maintain general stack orderliness and provide assistance to the Collection Maintenance unit, at University Park Library locations, as needed. This job requires the operation of a motor vehicle as part of the job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required. Requires maintaining a valid United States (issued by a “state”), or Canadian Province Operator’s license. University employees must be 21 years of age or older to operate University vehicles. This position requires a general high school diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge. Familiarity with call number classifications, the online catalog, and University Park libraries is preferred. This is an ongoing position. Applicants must be available to work during the academic school year, during breaks in the academic school year, during breaks in the academic calendar, and over the summer. 20 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. To be considered for this position, applicants must submit an online application.
