Information Technology Services at Penn State New Kensington is seeking a part?time Staff Assistant to work four hours a day, Monday through Friday. The Staff Assistant will provide both administrative and basic technology support to students and employees by performing the following duties:review, process, and assign helpdesk requests/incidents, answer phones,oversee the scheduling and coordination of audio/visual events and IT support requests via a tracking system and electronic calendar, schedule rooms for video conferencing events and coordinate connections with other campuses when needed, process travel requests and reimbursements, ensure IT staff payroll submissions are submitted on-time, schedule meetings, coordinate vendor service calls for IT?related issues, function as an overall helpdesk resource for students and employees. A willingness to help others in a courteous and professional manner, the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, and excellent organizational skills are all required. Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment is also required. Candidates must be highly self-motivated, able to work in a team environment, and be highly proficient in MS Office. The ability to learn specific equipment functionality is essential. High school diploma is required. An Associate’s degree is a plus.
