Health and Human Development is seeking a Financial Assistant 4 to serve as a key team member of the College’s Finance Office. This position will act as the first point of contact between the Finance Office and assigned Departments and Centers, providing financial guidance, training and problem resolution. Candidates must be committed to excellent customer service and enjoy working in a team environment. Primary duties are to verify, approve and process electronic financial documents in ERS, eBuy+ and IBIS, while ensuring compliance with University and College policies and procedures. Review purchasing card and auto-posted transactions. Maintain and audit gift card reconciliation logs for the college. Assist in budgeting and monitoring accounts/cost centers in assigned areas. Review and approve deposits, and perform cash handling duties. Monitor and resolve posting errors. Maintain and update databases, records and files. The ideal candidate will have strong organization and time management skills. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft, IBIS, ERS, eBuy+ and University financial policies and procedures are desired. Experience with MS Access, FIT and iTwo preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
